Things got heated during the closing minutes of the clash between Manchester City and Liverpool. Both teams gave their all throughout the contest and seemed to be frustrated at the very end because they failed to find a winner. Liverpool icon Mohammed Salah was amongst the first to lose his calm as the player was seen exchanging words with rival Bernardo Silva following a tackle. However, Salah was not the only one, as Erling Haaland was seen getting physical with Joe Gomez just moments later.
Haaland, who was trying to run in deep to help his teammates, was blocked off by Joe Gomez, who spent most of the game marking the striker. Gomez kept his tight mark on the Manchester City number 9, who was frustrated with the Englishman as he wrapped his hands around Gomez, trying to shake the defender.
Haaland’s frustrations were also understandable considering how Gomez contained him throughout the game, stopping him from making an impact in the final third. The striker barely had any chances throughout the game as Liverpool did a great job of holding him down, blocking paths for other City players to connect with their number nine.

Erling Haaland needs to bounce back after a disastrous outing!
The Manchester City striker will surely love to look past his performance against Liverpool after he failed to get a single shot on target. The player didn’t have a lot of time with the ball, as Liverpool’s defense cramped him for room, not allowing him to make runs inside the box. While the striker had a one-on-one chance with Virgil van Dijk, the Liverpool skipper sent the striker to his left, forcing him to take a weak shot.
