As the Messi family stepped out of the clothing store, a wave of fans greeted them, awaiting to catch a glimpse of the seven-time Ballon d’Or. The thrill of seeing Messi was so crazy that as soon as Leo came out of the door, people started throwing themselves at him. This clearly irked Antonela.

As seen in the video, it was a struggle for Roccuzzo and the kids to get inside the car, which was parked just outside the entrance of the store. As she closed the door of the car, the grumpiness on her face was clearly visible, and rightly so.

Lionel Messi first met Antonella as a child when he was 5 years old. The duo instantly hit off and became friends. Unfortunately, in the year 2000, Messi left his hometown for Barcelona, where he started his soccer training at an early age. The duo still tried to be in contact but didn’t succeed.

But as fate would have it, the duo reunited under tragic circumstances. When Antonel was 17, she lost her best friend to an accident which devastated her. She stopped leaving her house and attending school. As soon as Messi knew this, he flew back to comfort her.

Within two years, the duo started dating. Two years later, in 2009 their relationship became public to the world and has been going strong ever since.
