Messi is usually known to embrace all the fans with acceptance, due to which many people try to approach him wherever they get a chance. Fans often run onto the pitch to meet Messi, and he never disappoints them. However, this time, it looks like the Inter Miami star did not have many options.

After moving to Inter Miami, Messi has become very close to David Beckham. The Inter Miami co-owner hangs out with the Argentine captain quite often. Messi and his family are also having a great time in the city. Amid all the parties and jubilations, Messi found himself in an awkward situation when a fan approached him with a Boca Juniors jersey, according to a report. Messi ignored his request to sign the jersey by walking away.

In addition to declining the request, Messi seemed surprised when he saw the jersey. Boca Juniors, a legendary club, also belongs to the Argentine Primera Division, where Messi’s childhood club, Newell’s Old Boys, also plays. However, Messi ignored the request by placing his hands on his legs, showing no intention to sign the jersey.

The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner was coming out of a restaurant in Miami after a party with the Beckham family, including wife Victoria, son Brooklyn, and daughter-in-law Nikola. Even Sergio Busquets and his wife were part of the outing, with the restaurant having strict rules for fashion. Messi was suddenly taken aback when he was walking back to his car.

Messi’s connection with his boyhood club

Lionel Messi’s boyhood club, Newell Old Boys, produced some famous legends for Argentina, like Gabriel Batistuta and Inter Miami’s current coach, Tata Martino. However, Messi’s connection was always special with his first club. Recently, the World Champion revealed plans to return and play for this childhood club, which will be an emotional return. However, that will only happen once the Argentine’s current contract expires in 2025.

Boca Juniors, based in Buenos Aires, is an Argentine top-division club that has won 35 Primera Division championships. Earlier in June, Messi graced Boca Juniors fans and Stadium for Juan Roman Riquelme’s testimonial match. However, for some reason, Messi did not find it convenient this time.
