While initially the head coach believed that the ex-PSG man might return by mid-September, Neymar’s latest Instagram story has left fans confused.

Earlier today, Neymar Jr. took to Instagram stories to post a photo of himself in a green hoodie with an oxygen mask. Inside the post was the location Riyadh where he has resided lately. Additionally, he peppered the photo with the caption, “Good Morning,” accompanied by a cheeky smiling emoji.

While oxygen masks themselves are scary, Neymar’s choice of caption has really puzzled the fans with many confused about the intention of the post.

However, the major consensus based on his joyous mood is that he is close to his recovery.

Earlier today, Al Ittihad extended their perfect SPL run with a dominating 3-0 win over Al Wehda. However, it came with a cost. Towards the end of the first half, star striker Karim Benzema while challenging for a ball, suddenly fell to the turf clutching his leg.

The Frenchman was soon forced off the pitch with the club post-match confirming a muscle injury in their official statement. The Saudi giants also revealed that the ex-Real Madrid star will be out indefinitely.

“The team captain and star player, Karim Benzema, was forced to leave the field during the first half of the match against Al Wehda Club … because of a muscle injury. He will be undergoing medical tests in the upcoming hours to precisely diagnose the injury and determine the required course of treatment,” said Al Ittihad in their social media statement.

It’s truly tragic that the ‘Saudi El Classico’ will potentially be missing two of the biggest superstars of the league. Nonetheless, the match seems to be a blockbuster on paper with quality players all around.
