Inter Miami has just announced its ticket prices for next season. It is safe to say that they have shot up since Lionel Messi joined, a few months ago. The Herons present strikingly consistent pricing for tickets in the 2024 season. Consequently, season pass holders were enraged by the vast increase in price and turned to social media to highlight this matter. For sure, things aren’t looking too pleasant for Inter Miami.
Miami supporters are nursing their wounds following the defeat in the US Open Cup final. However, their misery with the club became even more pronounced with the price of the upcoming season ticket renewal. The price to witness La Pulga and the club’s veterans has soared to an astronomical height, fueled by the discontent of fans following the announcement.

Inter Miami’s cheapest season ticket in a north stand has increased by 82%, reaching a doubled value of $884 for the following year. DRV PNK stadium’s lower-level midfield club section sees a surge to $7,650, from $3,600. Soccer fans honestly anticipated paying more in order to view Inter Miami this season. The new prices have been announced and they’re shooting through the roof for the loyal supporters of the club and there seems to be an uproar on social media.
My 2023 season ticket plan was $6,802.00 for two seats.
The price they quoted to retain my seats is $30,600.00
This makes Inter Miami the most expensive soccer ticket in the world with what I can only assume is the biggest year over year price increase ever.
Outrageous.

The premium lounge packages are valued at a staggering range from $42,840 to $45,900. Nevertheless, the season package includes privileges such as entry to the lounge area, a premium dining option, open training season, and a VIP entrance. The expense to watch Lionel Messi, especially in such subpar infrastructure, fumed the fans and elicited diverse reactions regarding the renewal information. A fan angrily wrote, “Miami is a sh*t club, and Messi is the worst thing to happen to MLS in a long time.”

A fan pointed out that there’s a difference in the payment plan options too!
Just looked up my invoice from last season and I have a 83% increase. Also last season they offered a 10-month payment plan. The renewal has 8. This is the price of loyalty in Miami.

A fan feels that all loyal fans should be awarded and not pushed out with heavy pricing.
Terrible. The fans who have been there are the ones who should be rewarded in this new era of Inter Miami. Not extorted or pushed out. Classless

This an interesting opinion by a fan who tries to explain that Lionel Messi isn’t the problem.
It’s not the Messi Effect it’s the greed effect

A few fans complain that their loyalty is being tested and not valued!
Pathetic. At a minimum, people that bought season tickets prior to Messi should be able to grandfather with old cheaper prices their season tickets. Reward their loyalty during the dark times
— Ricardo Mago (@rickmago) September 28, 2023
Been there since day one, 4 tickets went from $6k to $17k… Inter Miami does not value loyalty

A fan posts a blueprint of the entire arena and calls the new pricing system a ‘rip off’!
I have a Club Seat for Atlanta United that includes ALL you can consume food and drink (Beer & Wine) that is cheaper than all but the lowest 6 tiers here. Considering that DRVPNK is a glorified High School field, this is a fucking rip off! pic.twitter.com/W7eYxRCeWB

A supporter anticipated how Lionel Messi would also not be okay with the price rise.
That’s not right. And I think Messi wouldn’t like this either. He once noted how important for football to remain in touch with all people. They should rethink this rise in prices. I’m mean raise it a little ok. But not double it or triple it. They will lose many fans like this

Soccer enthusiasts compared the surge with other popular soccer leagues.
For those prices you can go see a game in the Prem, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1 and still have money for the plane ticket.
MLS is second rate at best. Even with Messi

All in all, the fans were quite upset. The Heron’s fans must dig deep into their pockets to buy a season ticket. On the contrary, there are uncertainties surrounding their potential qualification for MLS playoffs. Just recently, Inter Miami fell short of securing their second piece pf silverware in the absence of La Pulga. But what exactly happened? Let’s dive deeper.

Inter Miami fails to secure the US Open Cup in the absence of Lionel Messi
David Beckham’s side suffered a 1-2 defeat against Houston Dynamo in the US Open Cup at DRV PNK stadium. The rivals were victorious in the half-time, scoring a crucial brace by Griffin Dorsey and Amine Biassi. Inter Miami injected some last-minute drama into the game as Josef Martinez slotted a low finish during the stoppage time. However, it was too late for Inter Miami to mount a comeback in the match.
Lionel Messi spectated the game from the stands alongside his family. The Herons noticeably lacked attacking prowess in the final third without La Pulga on the field. The Herons missed La Pulga’s services after a scar tissue injury picked up during his participation with the national team. As a result, the captain was unable to secure the 45 trophy of his career. This marked the first time in 17 years that Lionel Messi was eligible to play but did not compete in a final in his career.
