The diss track of Shakira mocking her ex Gerard Pique has set another record. It has been breaking records since its release. Simply named BZRP Music Sessions #53, was released on the 12th of this month and has hit new heights since then.

Shakira and Argentine DJ Bizarrap composed the song last year after the Colombian separated from the former Barcelona star. The Latin singer has targeted Pique, who cheated on Shakira, since then, releasing the song, mocking him. It now has created another record on Spotify for the Latin song, and the fans have reacted.

Shakira was away from music after deciding to sacrifice it for her children and moving to Spain in 2014. It was her decision when Pique and Shakira’s elder son was about to start school. She labeled it as the sacrifice for love. Now, after separation and reaching the custody agreement for children with Pique, she is back to singing. Her first song is already making history within a month of its release.  

Recently the song crossed 100 million streams on Spotify, making it the fastest Latin track to reach the feet. Shakira’s fans are happy, and one of them wrote, “always speak your truth and always give your career priority. Men ain’t worth anything.” Meanwhile, one of the fans thanked Pique.

Fans have labeled Shakira the ‘Queen of Latin Music”, a legend, icon, and mother. Many think it is the best song of the year. One fan has called out those who were saying the Colombian had no hit song in the years while another fan says she is the definition of longevity.

Shakira’s diss track setting new records since the release

The moment Shakira released the song, it started setting new records. It amassed over 63 million views on YouTube inside the first 24 hours, making it the first Latin song to do so. The song currently has over 180 million views on YouTube. It topped iTunes charts in many countries, including the US.

The diss track recently crossed 100 million Spotify streams and was on the top of Spotify charts for three consecutive days after release. Shakira is all set to make Billboard Hot 100 debut at #9 in 16 years, thanks to the track. Recently, she thanked her fans for their incredible support of her diss track.
