The 37-year-old broke the deadlock thanks to a penalty she won. Later in the final moments of the game, Jordan Huitema clinched an equalizer. They somehow managed to avoid an upset. Aside from winning a point, Rapinoe also set another record.

Although a red card for Louisville made things easier for Reign, it was a brilliant collective effort from the away side. Either way, the draw has surely changed the course of the league as Rapinoe’s side handed over a major boost to their league rivals.
The NWSL races gets interesting
The draw against Louisville has surely given Alex Morgan’s San Diego Wave a major boost. Reign had a chance to extend their stay at the top of the league; however, they have stumbled into staying in second place. Reign is just a single point behind the leaders’ Portland Thorns. But behind Reign is Waves who are also a point behind them. Gotham FC and Washington Spirits are level with Morgan’s side.
