Winning the first matchup after her return would have felt amazing for the USWNT legend. Although the road is far from going, this beginning couldn’t have been more perfect for the legend.

Apart from OL Reign, Rapinoe will have to perform and play a crucial role in the USWNT. The team is eying to make history in Australia as they eye a three-peat. Although fans are still trying to forget the heartbreaking news, they got last week. Mallory Swanson is injured and is out of action for an indefinite amount of time. With her out, the USWNT will have to scramble to fill up the spot.
