Alex Morgan’s San Diego Waves set a stunning record during the last edition of the NWSL. Playing their first game at their newly inaugurated Snapdragon Stadium, the Waves recorded a whooping attendance of 32000 fans. The club managed to break the record previously set by the Portland Thorns, who witnessed 25,218 during their game against the North Carolina Courage in 2019.
With Megan Rapinoe in the final phase of her career, it seems like her NWSL side OL Reign is looking to give her a grand farewell. Reign has announced that they have already broken their existing attendance record (21491) and have opened up more seats at Lumen Field for their game against Washington Spirit on October 6.
