Sometimes, but not always, kids carry their father’s legacies. Think of NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Sr. He won races for a lifetime only to pass his expertise to his son Dale Earnhardt Jr., who became successful in every way his father did. Similarly, the USMNT’s inevitable new coach, Mauricio Pochettino, has two children who look like they will touch their father’s greatness – Maurizio and Sebastiano.

Meet the kids of Mauricio Pochettino- Maurizio and Sebastiano!

The first-born kid is Sebastiano. Born on January 24, 1995, Sebastiano opted for a life away from soccer. He did his education for the European Baccalaureate of Sciences at St Paul’s School in Barcelona. After earning a degree in sports and exercise science, he completed his master’s degree in science from Université Paris-Saclay. He later became a sports scientist at Tottenham Hotspur when his father took over the reins.

After that, he also became the club’s fitness coach and was often seen with players, scheduling their workouts and other activities. He became highly popular among the players and helped them to chart out their fitness plans. Notably, he became the youngest coach in the Premier League at that time. Soon after, he left for Paris Saint Germain in 2021, where again, he followed in Mauricio Pochettino’s footsteps. Working with Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar could have probably become his best experience in coaching.

When his father left for Chelsea, Sebastiano joined his father to join as the fitness coach of Chelsea. With his father about to tie up with the USMNT, we might see him coaching the players of the USMNT. In the case of his brother, Maurizio, he is unique.

Sebastiano’s brother, Maurizio, was born on 30th March 2001. The tricky winger started his soccer career in 2013 after joining the youth academy of Southampton. His father coached the club at that time and the player became a favorite in those years. Later, he left the academy to join Tottenham Hotspur. He learned his trade there only to get a contract with Watford to start his senior career. He made his debut against Brentford as a substitute but lost the game 2-0.

Later, he left for Spanish club Gimnastic on a one-year deal in 2022. Showcasing his talents on the pitch, he spent there for 2 years but couldn’t find the back of the net. Currently playing for CD Ibiza Islas Pitiusas, the talented winger looks to revitalize his career. With Mauricio Pochettino set to become the USMNT coach, we could see him jump the ship across to an MLS club.
