They are currently the number-one rank holders in FIFA women’s standing and will look to keep it that way. The ladies played an emphatic friendly cup against Brazil, Japan, and Canada. The USWNT easily won the annual event as the preparations for the 2023 World Cup campaign continued.

Massive blunder at SheBelieves Cup
SheBelieves Cup is an annual friendly tournament that is held in various cities in the US. The goal of the tournament is to promote women’s soccer and inspire young women to achieve their dreams.
Regardless of their link to athletics, the friendly cup emphasizes women’s empowerment. The inaugural edition of the tournament kicked off in 2016 and since then, the USWNT has won the tournament six times, while France and England have also won the event. A total of four teams take part in the tournament on an invitational basis.

And this year’s SheBelieves Cup was quite eventful, as there were unusual circumstances that the USWNT faced. While playing against Canada on February 16th, the ball had gone flat. A similar situation arose while facing Japan on February 19th, when again the ball went flat.
The flat ball forced the referees to halt the match on both occasions as they changed the match ball. Nevertheless, the game continued as the ladies won both matches, thanks to three goals from Diane Swanson.
The reason behind the commotion during USWNT games
This isn’t the first time that a soccer ball has gone flat in the middle of a game, as there have been many instances where the ball has deflated. Usually, it occurs due to players kicking it quite hard or sometimes the air is more than necessary.
