NWSL is entering into a landmark season involving many reforms. Keeping aside the technological and brand advancements, the premier women’s soccer competition will also witness some great collaborations. And Trinity Rodman’s club, Washington Spirit, is one team that struck a deal with the chocolate brand Snickers.
Estimated to be around $54 million in 2023, Spirit will have the subsidiary of Mars Inc. be its official partner for the 2024 season, as announced recently. As a part of this deal, Snickers will make its presence for the first time in women’s soccer by its name being displayed on Spirit jersey’s right sleeves, taking over from Sandy Spring Bank. There are more nuts to scoop!
Notably, Snickers will also be visible in all the club’s game-related promotions inside the stadium and be a part of the club’s social activities, such as the Fan Appreciation Night on October 20th.“We are honored to partner with an iconic brand like SNICKERS, and Mars, for their first-ever NWSL partnership.”

“Investing in women’s sports is a smart business. The Spirit and SNICKERS will work together to build an innovative and impactful alliance to bring the brand to women’s soccer fans by leveraging opportunities to increase visibility and drive business,” said the CEO of the club, Kim Stone.
Meanwhile, this will be the third sponsorship deal the Washington Spirt has closed this year. In a recent move, the 2021 champions announced two new jersey sponsorship agreements. After extending the contract with CVS Health to be one shirt sponsor, the club also has a deal with the gaming app Matchday.com for the back. The left sleeve will have a common sponsor for all the teams in the league, Ally, an online banking firm. On the other hand, Spirit launched its official jersey recently in a historical kit revolution in the NWSL powered by Nike, leading up to the 2024 season.
