It’s everything at stake for the four of the top five Premier League clubs as we approach the season’s finale. The biggest gainer will be the current champions, Manchester City, who are on the verge of either retaining the league title or not winning any major trophy this season. But apart from external forces, the club has internally suffered an enemy in the form of injuries. After the initial set of issues had been solved, another one seemed to have arrived.

According to reports, Nathan Ake looks to be in doubt for the game against Tottenham. Despite suffering a minor injury and looking okay, coach Pep Guardiola doesn’t want to risk him. Pep said, “Nathan [Ake] was much better yesterday. Now we will train and we will see if he can train. Not serious, but just two days from the last game,” revealing that he may not play him unless completely fit.

Meanwhile, the Dutch defender was seen hurt during City’s clash against Fulham on Saturday and reportedly seems to have a leg issue, even though there’s no confirmation. The left-back already suffered a similar injury in March, resulting in him missing 3 games. And with an important clash against Tottenham, it looks like Kylie Walker would start in place of Ake.

On a positive note, winger Jack Grealish is declared ready to go for the remaining games. The Englishman did not play against Fulham in Craven Cottage due to illness but Pep has reportedly said, “Jack has recovered from his illness,” confirming his availability. The Sky Blues’ road to recovery is commendable this season. Despite the congested schedule for the treble winner, City’s squad seems to be fully fit in the dying stages. However, the game in North London is tougher than it seems.

Manchester City’s main hurdle seems to be London this time. With Arsenal competing for the league trophy and the final frontier being West Ham United, the resilient Tottenham will be standing in the way of Pep Guardiola. Despite their supremacy in the last decade, Manchester City has not won a single Premier League game at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium. In addition, Ange Postecoglou’s side came to Etihad and stole a league point last December, drawing a six-goal thriller. Dejan Kulsevski’s 90th-minute screamer will be at the back of City’s mind.

Nevertheless, the club seems to have returned to its prime. It was without their two stars, Kevin De Buyne and Erling Haaland, with injuries. And with 15 goals in the last five games, Manchester looks like the favorites for tomorrow’s epic. But will they break their jinx at Tottenham? Let us know in the comments.
