Manchester City has been shrouded with unprecedented misfortune concerning player injuries. Pep Guardiola has found himself managing the significant absences of acclaimed players such as Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne, amongst others. Nonetheless, it appears that this period of injury concerns is approaching culmination based on recent updates signifying the resumption of training by the Norwegian striker along with promising reports regarding recovery progress from other injured stalwarts.
Currently, Manchester City has four players on the injured list: Erling Haaland, John Stones, Ederson, and Manuel Akanji. Encouragingly though, all these key players except one have partaken and returned to collective training sessions ahead of the important FA Cup game against Tottenham.

Recently, Manchester City had a training camp in Saudi Arabia. Encouraging developments have arisen, stating that Erling Haaland has resumed training in Abu Dhabi. What is particularly promising is that he has done so without experiencing any pain in his foot.
This marks a significant step forward for the 23-year-old who earlier this month attempted a return to training but had to halt his progress due to setbacks in his recovery, as reported by the Times. Alongside Haaland, John Stones, who suffered a foot injury last month, has also finally returned to training in Abu Dhabi.

Ederson, who sustained a knee injury in the previous match against Newcastle United, has rejoined training too. Furthermore, both these players are projected to return to action for the FA Cup Fourth Round match set against Tottenham on January 26th.
However, whether or not Erling Haaland will participate in this match remains uncertain at present. Nevertheless, it is anticipated that he will regain full fitness by the end of this month. Unfortunately, one player who is yet to resume training is Manuel Akanji.

The center-back has been out of action because of a leg injury sustained during the match against Huddersfield. Despite missing out on proceedings in Abu Dhabi, it is still expected that he will return before the end of the month. Should Pep Guardiola remain untroubled by additional injury concerns, this month could potentially mark the end of his ongoing challenges.
