It’s an important phase for Pep Guardiola and his men as they prepare to take a resilient Brentford. Although they have their main players Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland for the game, the supporters’ expectation of Phil Foden’s return could be fulfilled tomorrow. According to reports, the 2023-24 FWA’s Player of the Season will play tomorrow after being sidelined with illness.

Meanwhile, Foden returned to the club’s training on Wednesday after missing out on England’s UEFA Nations League campaign. He was also claimed to be in discomfort by Pep in the game against Chelsea but is back being fit suggests the news. On the other hand, midfielder Rodri is also set for a comeback after missing the club’s 2024-25 spell until now.

Rodri won the Euro 2024 Player of the Tournament and will aim to strengthen their midfield even more. In addition, Savinho is also expected to be fit after catching a knee injury before the West Ham match. But his spot in the starting XI remains uncertain after the return of Foden. Have an interesting take?

Even though Manchester City go in as favorites for Brentford, they will be without their left back Nathan Ake. Ake caught a hamstring injury in the international break against Germany going for the ball and was substituted in the first half itself. The Dutchman is expected to miss 7 games for the club and could be ready by next month. Although his absence may not impact the result tomorrow, the team from Manchester will need a good backup for this period of club soccer.

The team from Manchester will play 4 matches in the next 10 days, including a Champions League fixture against Inter Milan and a league game against Arsenal. Nevertheless, the injury list remains relatively low compared to other teams and Guardiola will be happier than a few rival managers. And as the campaign continues, it will be interesting to see how the Spanish manager rotates his squad.
