Meanwhile, Artem Dzyuba was unfazed by any criticism of the Portuguese star for his poor stint in the Qatar World Cup 2022. In an interview, Artem Dzyuba praised Ronaldo for his presence and the ability to break records, even in this later stage of his career.

On this occasion, Artem Dzyuba expressed his disapproval of the way Ronaldo was treated at the greatest stage of soccer.

In an interview, he quoted, “When you hear the word Portugal, what do you think? Oh, Cristiano Ronaldo. Portugal is associated with Cristiano Ronaldo for the whole world. And that’s how you treat him!”.

CR7 holds the record for the most international goals scored by a men’s player, with 123 goals in 200 appearances. The Portuguese veteran had consistently broken records at both the club and international levels throughout the decade. Dzyuba also claimed that Portugal should still start the 38-age old striker due to his unmatched quality on the ground. Dzyuba suggested, “He deserves it by just being there. The man scored 800 goals. Is he worse than any of these? I just don’t understand.

Meanwhile, CR7 started his second season with Al Nassr in style, winning his first title on Arab soil.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner started his second season with Saudi’s side scoring six goals in his just first six games. He also starred in the Arab Cup of Championship, helping the team to win their first title of the season.

Unfortunately, the former Manchester United forward sustained an injury in extra time of the cup final and had to be replaced. Soccer enthusiasts are now gearing up to see the Portuguese icon back in action very soon. Hopefully, the second match of the Saudi Pro League against Al Taawoun on August 18.
