The renowned American airline company claims that United customers will fully take advantage of the nonstop service to Puerto Escondido. United Express partner Mesa Airlines will operate once a week throughout the year using Embraer 175 aircraft, further solidifying Houston’s role as a key gateway to Latin America. Furthermore, the airline intends to launch the service in April 2025; just one year ahead of Houston’s hosting duties for the 2026 World Cup.

Houston Mayor John Whitmire also expressed his happiness over this latest announcement saying, “Adding Puerto Escondido to our growing list of international destinations is another win for Houston before the 2026 World Cup.”

They are certainly working hard to make the 2026 World Cup the best experience possible for all the fans, players, and teams.
