Lionel Messi opened the multiverse of madness for soccer fans in North America. The whole continent is so ecstatic to watch the star live in action five months early. According to reports the demand for tickets has been surging in Canada also leading to comparisons with music phenomena The Rolling Stones and Taylor Swift by CF Montreal director Patrick Leduc. Messi could not win the trophy last season which adds intrigue about his upcoming performances.
The Mick Jagger-led Rolling Stones were one of the pioneers of rock ‘n’ roll in the 1960s and 1970s, which could draw level with today’s cult artists like Swift herself. But the fact that North America is placing Messi in a similar ballpark is sublime.

The fans are going berserk for the Argentinian captain. According to a report, Leduc said that he had already sold 500 more subscriptions after the schedule for the next MLS season was announced. He also expects it to rise sooner. Comparing it with the madness of music fans, Ludic said according to a report, “If the Rolling Stones came to Osheaga or Taylor Swift to the Fuego Fuego Festival, there would be the same madness.”
Both Swift and the Rolling Stones are known for hugely successful concerts. The Rolling Stones’ ‘Voodoo Lounge Tour’ of 1994–95 grossed more than $300 million, which was a record then. Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ was also reported to gross more than a billion dollars, recently creating a new record.
Messi, alternatively, is driving influence in soccer, while also gaining traction like an entertainment celebrity. Last season saw the star attract some big celebrities to the games, including Selena Gomez, Leonardo Di Caprio, and Prince Harry. But more surprisingly, it was the other clubs who also reportedly saw sales in season tickets to watch the star play.

Inter Miami’s season pass had seen a huge rise from $485 to $880 in September this year. But the man from Rosario is setting a new trend by doing it for another club. Ludic has a trick to this too. The season pass is the best way to watch Messi play since regular tickets are much more difficult to acquire and pricy too.
