He was on a level with Bader Al-Mutawa of Kuwait before the Liechtenstein game. Ronaldo now has 197 appearances in international soccer and will potentially become the first male player to have 200 international appearances in the next international break.
He scored twice in Portugal’s victory in a record-breaking game against Liechtenstein. He scored the first goal from the penalty spot and the second with a thumping free kick. With this, he becomes the first player to score 100 competitive goals, excluding the goals from friendlies. He now has 121 goals for Portugal.
