Popping champagne, loud music, hitting the dance floor with all the brilliant moves—We don’t think the USWNT‘s celebrations for their Saturday’s Paris Olympics 2024 gold triumph would have ended by now. Maybe it shouldn’t, considering the achievement that means to the American ladies. However, going with the celebration too far had to have consequences as Lynn Williams, unfortunately, broke her medal, courtesy of some exclusive behind-the-scenes from her fiancé Marley Biyendolo.

The former NCAA star didn’t take time to join the team’s after-party with his significant other, hailing the remarkable accomplishment. Biyendolo shared all the glimpses on Instagram stories, where one of the pictures saw Williams holding the gold medal that was broken. He had posted the picture with a caption, “Ofc she already broke it.”

Well, fear not; it wasn’t broken in a way that it may never get fixed. It’s just that the long ribbon attached to the top of the medal which is used to hang the medal around the neck got separated from the medal. Also, looking at the picture, Williams looked hardly bothered that the medal and ribbon got separated as she was rather lost in the moment. This explains how she actually broke it in the first place.

In the subsequent story, Biyendolo shared a small clip of Williams dancing with her legs apart, swinging the medal above her head in the air. The Australian-born social media personality even wrote a caption to the video saying, “But she still wonders ‘how’.”

We wouldn’t blame the NJ/NY Gotham FC star. After all, it’s her first-ever gold medal. Prior to this, she had just won a bronze during USWNT’s third-place finish in the 2020 Tokyo Games. Hence, posing with a gold medal in the mouth is a feeling that only Williams knows. For now, her significant partner is still in disbelief.

Marley Biyendolo continued to simp over his beloved fiance’s gold medal triumph by further posting the wild celebrations of Williams and highlighting her achievement. The TV personality shared a carousel of four pictures with his significant other on Instagram again and wrote, “WTTTTTFFFFFFFFF🥇” as a caption. Williams, sitting on the table, while wrapping arms around her 6’1 boyfriend as Biyendolo poses by eating the medal.

Biyendolo continued to express his happiness over Williams’ accomplishment, by posting further pictures of the forward with the team. Additionally, he shared one story of Williams getting the gold medal during the ceremony that even made it on the stadium’s big screen. He wrote, “Like…what the even heck is happening rn 😭😭😭.”

Another picture showcased Williams’ wild side as the 31-year-old posed by holding not one but two big bottles of champagne—of course, while the medal was still wrapped around her neck. It was the aftermath of some alcohol and wild dancing that resulted in her medal getting broken. But again, Williams hardly cares about it as she rather seemed to enjoy her unprecedented victory.
