After leaving PSG this summer transfer window, Neymar called it a club where he lived through hell. However, in an interview, Luis Suarez revealed that he did his level best to stop the Brazilian forward from joining them in the first place. He said, “At the moment, we told Neymar, and he already knows. I said that it was a mistake to me that he left at that moment because if he had any chance of being the best player in the world, he would do it.”

He continued, “I was going to do it alongside the best player in the world, who was going to be the best player in the world, and he made the decision that was respectable at that time. But we, as friends, had to tell him or advise him; for us, it was very void.”

Neymar excelled in his role with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez at Barcelona. They had formed the famous MSN and were winning trophies under Luis Enrique. But it looks like the PSG project for the Brazilian was too acceptable to reject because of sporting and financial reasons.

In the end, Neymar moved to Saudi club Al Hilal to end his PSG chapter. The Barcelona and PSG fans stated the transfer move did not work out for either club. Barca lost a talented winger, while PSG gained someone who lacked passion at the club.
