The signing of Luis Suarez has certainly elevated the expectations of the Inter Miami fans for the upcoming season. Several would expect him to start every game of the season for the Herons. Like his best friend and teammate Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez had also arrived at Inter Miami with the reputation of winning several trophies. In the last season, at the age of 36, he was the highest goal scorer for Gremio. But the Uruguayan forward wants his current manager Tata Martino to start him only when he deserves it. In a press conference, he said, “It’s up to the coach to decide that he looks favorably on what I can contribute as many minutes as you want or what you can do for the group. But it’s always going to be based on how well I perform on the court. And not because of the name I have.”

Amid his statement, Luis Suarez has also confirmed that he never came to the Inter Miami with Copa America in his mind. He further added that the tournament happening in the US is a big plus. The 36-year-old said that he will let his performances do the talking like in the last season. He has also made it clear that his focus remains on performing well for the Herons.

Hence, if El Pistolero wants to continue with his international career, he will have to do well for Inter Miami. But a Spanish journalist has already made a huge statement on the chances of the Inter Miami star making the national team.

Spanish journalist has a bad feeling about the international future of the veteran forward

In an exclusive interview, journalist Nahuel Beau was asked about the chances of Suarez making the La Celeste for the Copa America. The Tenerife-based journalist replied that he was not optimistic for the 36-year-old forward. He said that the Inter Miami forward does have a chance of making the squad. However, his move to the Herons has certainly reduced his chances.
