However, it seemed like Al Nassr boss Luis Castro was not too pleased with his goalkeeper Raghed Al-Najjar. The duo engaged in a heated discussion after the game surrounding the keeper’s involvement in the closing moments of the game.

Despite the drama, Al Nassr has all the right to be pleased with their outstanding performance. Both teams entered level after the first half of the contest. However, Ronaldo & co put their feet on the gas in the last thirty minutes to find three consecutive goals to bag their first win over Al Ittihad in over half a decade. Nevertheless, Castro’s interaction with his goalkeeper grabbed the headlines in the fallout of the game.

Al Nassr’s Luis Castro seems to be a hard man to please these days. The Portuguese tactician expects a lot from his players, and his feelings were once again on display following his team’s 5-2 win over defending champions Al Ittihad. However, despite the win, Castro was said to be unhappy with goalkeeper Raghed Al-Najjar expecting to deliver till the very last moment.

According to the tweet, “Exclusive: A dispute broke out moments ago between Raghed Al-Najjar and Castro, and the goalkeeper asked to participate to score the sixth.”

The goalkeeper was not the only man on Castro’s target. The Al Nassr boss went all in on his players during his post-match press conference, claiming his side made some crucial mistakes in the first half which need to be fixed in the coming games.

The Al Nassr skipper led the charge from the front as he helped his side come from behind to hand Al Ittihad a massive defeat. The defending champions opened the scoring within the first half with Abderrazak Hamdallah scoring in the 14th minute to provide Al Ittihad with the lead. However, Cristiano did not take a lot of time to fire back with the Portuguese icon, converting a spot kick five minutes later to level the scores.

Both teams found themselves leveled once again in the second half, with twenty-five minutes left in the game. The Al Nassr skipper found his second goal of the day from another spot-kick to break the deadlock, which opened the gates of agony for their opponents. Sadio Mane found two consecutive goals following Cristiano’s strike that saw the side bag a 5-2 win over their opponents.
