Chad Johnson’s NFL career is definitely one to remember. The wide receiver played a crucial role for Cincinnati Bengals, playing for a total of 10 years after he was drafted to the Bengals in 2001. He was selected to the Pro Bowl six times and is widely considered one of the best receivers of his generation.

Johnson with his contribution might have cemented his legacy as one of the greats in the NFL but he still believes he could have been a better soccer player. The Bengal wide receiver is also a big fan of soccer and has followed the sport his entire life.
Chad Johnson’s huge claim
Johnson recently took to Twitter to share a video of him scoring a goal in a soccer match. The video was captioned saying, “I’m a better soccer player than NFL receiver”. This goal came from a charity soccer game in 2022 that featured some of the biggest names in the sport, including Paul Pogba, Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos, and Cafu. In the game, Johnson scored a beautiful goal in the near corner after a splendid run.

While it is certainly impressive that Johnson was able to hold his own against some of the best soccer players in the world, his claim that he is better at soccer than he was at football is a tough one to substantiate.
This definitely is a massive claim from the NFL star as everybody knows how good of a receiver he was. But on the other hand, scoring a goal while surrounded by soccer legends is also no small feat.
