Sometimes we don’t get the due we deserve. It is the trio of Mallory Swanson, Sophia Smith, and Trinity Rodman who have been stealing the show after the Olympics. But one player whose consistency has been overlooked is Lynn Williams. The Fresno-born star has finally won a major trophy with the USWNT and even partied hard and broke her medal. But she had to ‘overcome,’ multiple things including rejection from the main squad. However, understanding from you dear ones is the biggest gift one can have and the 31-year-old’s fiance Marley Biyendolo is that one it appears.
A late but emotive plaudit took Williams by surprise. Biyendolo took to his Instagram to appreciate the fight Williams put in to win the gold in Paris. The post included pictures of their Paris journey with the caption reading, “Look at what you’ve done, what you’ve overcome, fought through, played through, stood for, what you’ve achieved thus far in your career, and continue to KEEP DOING!!!!,” with astonishment.
The 29-year-old star took some moving words to appreciate her humanity and even wrote, “I can’t even count the amounts of people that I speak to at games, or out, or even on here that tell me just how much they “love Lynn.” People from ALL OVER THE WORLD! How damn dope is that!?” Further expressing his love a part of it read, “I’m so damn proud of the women you’ve grown to become, on the field of course, but more so what you’re achieving off the field that’s impacted this world beyond what you could even image. ” The memoir concluded with a humorous note teasing Williams about the new camera he brought.

USNWT coach Emma placed her on the list of alternatives and then replaced Catarina Macario after her knee injury. Her international career has not been as overwhelming as her NWSL career scoring 19 goals in 70 games.
