Liverpool has been hit with a bizarre injury during their ongoing clash against Arsenal. Liverpool defender Konstantinos Tsimikas suffered a horrible injury during the first half of the contest and had to be immediately taken off the field following a nasty fall and collision with Jurgen Klopp. Tsimikas, who was in a one-versus-one situation with Bukayo Saka, was pushed to the sidelines where he collided with Klopp, who fell hard on the defender.

The medical staff quickly rushed to check on the defender who could be seen writhing in pain. Liverpool, following the injury, was forced to make quick changes to their playing eleven with Joe Gomez subbed in to replace Konstantinos Tsimikas. As of writing, both sides are level at 1-1 with more than a half left to play.

Liverpool has suffered another massive injury blow with defender Kostas Tsimikas suffering a collarbone injury during the ongoing clash against Arsenal. According to reports, the player has been rushed to a local medical facility after he was treated by Liverpool’s medical staff following his injury.

This surely has to be one of the oddest ways to pick up an injury. Tsimikas has been Liverpool’s go-to man for the left-back role following an injury to regular starter Andy Robertson. The Greek’s injury will be a big issue for Klopp as he’s lost both left backs to long term injuries.

Tsimikas’ injury makes him the eighth first-team star currently out on the sidelines. However, despite the issues at hand, Liverpool has kept themselves alive in the title race, with the side just a point behind Arsenal at the top of the Premier League standings.

The two teams will hope to continue their run and keep defending champions Manchester City, away from breathing down their necks. Pep Guardiola and his side have won the league title for the last three seasons and will look to upset both Arsenal and Liverpool to become the first side in Premier League history to bag four consecutive league titles.
