Cristiano Ronaldo‘s new club Al Nassr have seen a meteoric rise in popularity globally since the Portuguese forward’s move from Manchester United earlier in January 2023. Al Nassr featured in the top 5 most followed clubs in the world, as we reported previously. This was after the SPL’s flurry of signings earlier in the 2023 summer transfer window that saw some of the biggest names in soccer move to Saudi Arabia. Now, according to reports in the Saudi Arabian media, European heavyweights Liverpool and Bayern Munich have offered to play Al Nassr next month.
Al Nassr reportedly had 157 million interactions on Instagram in August 2023 making them the 3rd most followed club worldwide. However, Bayern Munich and Liverpool’s bid to cash in on the Saudi club’s popularity by playing them has hit a roadblock as per recent reports.
