It seems not. Surprisingly, Lionel Messi’s wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, implies enjoying fans’ recognition more than the former himself.

As it happened, Lionel Messi and Antonela Roccuzzo were driving around in their black Cadillac Escalade after Inter Miami’s recent game against Monterrey. A handful of Argentine fans showed up on the road to meet their idol. Antonela was driving the SUV and immediately stopped it, enabling fans to interact with Messi. Fans made the best use of the moment and were seen talking enthusiastically to the Miami skipper in Spanish. He warmly greeted those fans and posed for selfies with them. All along, Antonela was smiling, and she patiently waited for all of her husband’s fans to have their day.

Meanwhile, the power couple’s humble act also saw a fan nearly pass out because of excitement. She got so overwhelmed at meeting Lionel Messi for the first time that she almost got into a panic attack. The 8x Ballon d’Or winner was also seen asking other fans if the enthusiastic fan was okay after she was struggling to breathe. Antonela’s generosity to Messi’s fans is now the talk of the town. But this is nothing new for the Argentine supermodel. She has historically showered kindness to fans who craved to meet the 2022 World Champion.

When Antonela welcomed a Lionel Messi superfan to their Paris home

Back in the day, an Italian semi-professional futsal player, Juan Polcan, camped outside Lionel Messi’s home in Paris to meet him when he returned after training with his former team, PSG. The security staff at the house wanted Polcan out of the premises and decided to call the police. However, Antonela, who saw the fan’s efforts, intervened and stopped the security from calling the cops. Rather, she invited the futsal player and his friends inside their home and asked them to wait till the Argentine returned.

Moments later, Polcan fulfilled his dream as he captured many photographs with the former Barcelona maestro. Polcan’s friends also chanced to interact with the Argentina skipper. Later, the superfan thanked Messi and Antonela and lauded them for their humility. Messi’s club and his house might have changed. But Antonela’s kindness towards fans remains a constant.
