He traveled to La Paz, Bolivia, to support the team despite not making the line-up. The commitment impressed the soccer fraternity and applauded his devotion to the country. Every soccer player goes through junctures where they miss special occasions for their loved ones. Messi just proved yet again how that is the case! The contest which he attended also ended up in a victory for Argentina as they beat Bolivia with a scoreline of 3-0. Watching the loyalty to his national team, Nico Cantor, a soccer host and analyst, applauded the former Barcelona man.

With CBS SportsGolazo, Cantor stated, “It says a lot about Messi’s commitment to his trade, his country, and to his club. At the same time, almost because during this window, it was his son’s birthday, after the first game that Argentina won. He could have gone back to Miami, and he decided not to. He flew with them to Bolivia. Didn’t play but was there. He understands the importance of him being around the team despite him not being even on the team sheet.”
