However, with his son Mateo Messi’s birthday on September 11th, most expected him to return to Miami. But no!

He traveled to La Paz, Bolivia, to support the team despite not making the line-up. The commitment impressed the soccer fraternity and applauded his devotion to the country. Watching the loyalty to his national team, Nico Cantor, a soccer host and analyst, applauded the former Barcelona man.

At the same time, almost because during this window, it was his son’s birthday, after the first game that Argentina won. He could have gone back to Miami, and he decided not to. He flew with them to Bolivia. Didn’t play but was there. He understands the importance of him being around the team despite him not being even on the team sheet.”
