When your dad is Lionel Messi, expectations will be on the higher side. Thiago Messi must have felt the weight of the iconic surname, as he became the trend on social media. The Argentine starlet was named in the starting XI for Inter Miami U-12 as they took on Orlando City in the International Youth Cup. His father was in attendance to cheer Thiago on while Antonela Roccuzzo showed support via social media.
The Argentine media personality took to Instagram to share her message to Thiago. On the Inter Miami academy post of Thiago and the team, she wrote, “Hold on to this team.” Fortunately, hold up he did, and much more. The 11-year-old put up a display that would have made Lionel Messi proud. Thiago scored a sensational hattrick to win the game 4-0 for his side.

As per the tournament schedule, the group games will be played on May 25 and May 26. The final is scheduled for May 27. Hence, there is a chance that we might see more of Thiago’s magic in the coming days. Speaking of magic, the Argentine magician Lionel Messi was with Thiago on the pitchside. Messi even led the team to the field. Antonela had also uploaded a story of the same. Yet the interesting part is that Luis Suarez was also in attendance.
With Inter Miami having a match in less than 24 hours, it is unknown if the duo skipped training to attend the game. Worryingly, the latest update from the Inter Miami camp regarding Lionel Messi and Suarez is not very encouraging.

Lionel Messi and Barcelona duo reportedly set to miss Vancouver clash!
An official statement from Vancouver Whitecaps CEO Axel Schuster has caused quite a concern among the Miami faithful. The statement read, “While we haven’t received an official update on the availability of Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, and Sergio Busquets for this weekend, we understand they will not make this trip.” The Herons have a dismal record without La Pulga and Vancouver could prove to be a stern test. In recent training sessions, Messi looked in discomfort and was repeatedly checking his legs. Perhaps, the issue might have been deemed serious by the medical staff.
On the other hand, the info regarding Suarez and Busquets has come as a surprise. The only possible reason could be fatigue due to playing in multiple games back-to-back. Fortunately, the Herons have more than capable replacements in Campana and Redondo. But Lionel Messi is irreplaceable and it remains to be seen how Martino tweaks the tactics if his #10 is unable to make it.
