Alisha Lehmann's intro of Douglas Luiz to IShowSpeed—best awkward moment of the year?

UEFA Euro and Copa America have set the soccer world ablaze. One fan is having the time of his life catching up with all the action from the European Championships. IShowSpeed aka Speed has been an avid Cristiano Ronaldo fan and expressed his support to Portugal during the Euros. Despite hailing from America, Speed chose to ditch the combined Copa America. But before a disappointing end to Portugal’s campaign, the streamer hung out with one of the most happening women’s soccer stars Alisha Lehmann. His conversation with the newly joined Juventus player left him quite amused as she snubbed Lionel Messi and introduced her boyfriend Douglas Luiz to him.

Speed during their interaction made it clear that he wasn’t interested in watching the Copa America. Nonetheless, it did not take Lehmann long to change his mind with her words. The Switzerland international first asked him if he watches Copa America to which he initially answered that it was too late in the night for him to watch it. “I’m not about to stay up just to watch Messi bro like I don’t care,” Speed said, suggesting that he didn’t feel it was worth staying awake till 3 or 4 am to watch the Argentine captain.

But after, Lehmann responded, “Messi? You watch Douglas Luiz. Douglas Luiz, my boyfriend. He plays for Brazil,” Speed changed his mind and said, “My God Douglas Luiz? I’m going to watch him tomorrow okay.”

Most soccer fans are not new to the fact that Speed is a supporter of Lionel Messi’s arch-rival Cristiano Ronaldo. However, even Alisha Lehmann is an admirer of the Portuguese star. When asked in 2022 who the GOAT is, Lehmann chose the Al Nassr captain over the 8-time Ballon d’Or winner. Despite many feeling that the 2022 World Cup has settled the debate, the two stars keep giving reasons for it to continue.

Meanwhile, Lehmann and Luiz will continue cheering for each other in Turin as they moved to Juventus resulting in the first-ever couple transfer in soccer. Both have been in a relationship since 2021 and with their new home in Italy for the next few years, fans expect them to achieve great things in the future.
