Lionel Messi has been the man of the hour following his move to Inter Miami. The Argentine has taken the nation by storm and it seems like his impact has paved the path for other players across Europe. One of them is Tottenham legend Hugo Lloris who stunned everyone in December as he signed a one-year deal with LAFC making a move to the MLS. While the Frenchman has high aspirations following his move to the club, it seems like he has some big bucket list plans for the season!

In an interview, the ex-Spurs star talked about his desire to swap shirts with Lionel Messi if his side comes face-to-face with Inter Miami this season. Lloris stated, Maybe for the first time, I would ask Lionel Messi for his jersey.” Lloris’s desire was met with a smile from ex-France teammate Adil Rami, who said he never hesitated to ask the Argentine for his jersey whenever he met him on the pitch.

Lloris suffered a muscular injury in April 2023 that saw him spend seven months on the sideline. His absence saw Italian goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario step up to the challenge and man the posts for Tottenham. With Vicario talking up the first-choice goalkeeper mantle, Lloris parted ways with the English side joining LAFC on a free transfer in December.
