The next entry in the iconic Bad Boys franchise is set to be released on June 7th. Actor Will Smith is quite busy with the promotions and his recent promo with Lionel Messi went viral on social media. Following the massive success of the collaboration, La Pulga is once again seen in an ad with the Bad Boys cast. Soccer fans are left stunned by what the playmaker said in the new advertisement.

In the new ad for Bad Boys: Ride or Die, Lionel Messi visits Smith and Martin Lawrence’s house. The Hollywood duo greets Messi who then says, “Bad Boys?.” Hearing this, Smith and Lawrence explained that it was the wrong house and closed the door. While it was a neat idea, the talking point was Messi speaking in English. The soccer icon is primarily a Spanish speaker, as seen from his interviews and on-field communication. Lionel Messi is undoubtedly not the most comfortable in English. But, it is a language that he understands and communicates in. In fact, his Inter Miami teammate Julian Gressel had revealed an interesting incident regarding the same.

When Lionel Messi asked Julian Gressel to rate his English

Playing in Inter Miami with lots of US players, not everybody might understand Spanish. Acknowledging this, Lionel Messi has indeed made efforts to communicate tactics via English. Defender Julian Gressel revealed that the Riyadh Season Cup game against Al Hilal was when he heard Messi conversing in English for the first time. His words, as per Gressel, were, “Now, we change. You stay and Jordi runs. Jordi goes more in behind.’ I was like okay, sounds good.”
