Lionel Messi’s life has been nothing short of parties lately. Even though the Argentinian captain has a big 2024 ahead, he decided to burst his stress by hanging out with family and friends. Days before a lackluster game against El Salvador, Messi and teammate Luis Suarez were seen partying with former model and actress Sofia Vergara.

The former Barcelona star is reunited with his former club mates in Spain. But it looks like they have many things on the list, aside from winning the MLS with Inter Miami this season. For now, they partied with the Modern Family co-star.

The 51-year-old actress was in Miami to promote her new television series, Griselda and caught up with the soccer sensations. Also joining them were their spouses, Antonella Roccuzzo and Sofia Balbi. Additionally, even the other Barcelona legends, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets, were seen with their families.

Vergara, who is known for her Gloria Delgado-Pritchett role in Modern Family, will now be seen in a crime drama, Griselda, which will air on Netflix on January 25, 2024. The show, directed by Andrés Baiz (also the director of Narcos), is about a former Colombian drug lord, Griselda Blanco. And Lionel Messi’s being a part of this latest journey could take the show’s visibility to a larger audience.

Earlier, Messi attracted enormous crowds to the stadiums after joining Inter Miami. Messi and Vergara had a few associations earlier, with both promoting a luxury hub, VIA Riyadh, in Saudi Arabia’s capital last year. The People’s Choice Award winner was also present at last year’s Riyadh Season game, where Messi’s Paris Saint-Germain took on Cristiano Ronaldo’s SPL Select 11. Moreover, Vergara also follows the Inter Miami captain on Instagram.
