Lionel Messi is more rich?

Lionel Messi, another high earning soccer player, has a total net worth of 600 million USD. The major chunk of his earnings came from his salary when he used to play for Barcelona. In 2017, when his contract was renewed by Barcelona, his annual base salary was eye-watering 168 million USD. 

Lionel Messi makes around 40-50 million USD from advertisements and brand endorsements. While Ronaldo has a lifetime deal with Nike, Messi has a similar deal with Nike’s rival brand Adidas. Apart from Adidas, Messi also endorses brands like Budweiser, Gatorade, and Mastercard.
