Inter Miami is going through a juggling act right now. Poor on-pitch performances during the off-season have landed the Florida-based club in hot waters. As they gear up to turn the tides, it looks like the off-pitch developments aren’t stopping. As per the reports, Lionel Messi and Co. have stepped up their pursuit of Federico Redondo as they prepare a substantial offer to lure the son of Real Madrid legend Fernando Redondo.

David Beckham and the Herons’ board have been linked to signing the 21-year-old in the past few weeks. They had fallen short of securing his signature until now. According to reports by journalist Victor Tujschinaider, as compiled by Cesar Luis Merlo, it is suggested that Inter Miami is prepared to offer $8 million to Federico’s domestic side, Argentinos Juniors. This figure might do its trick as the AAAJ is ready to accept the million-dollar cheque.

The decision to pursue Federico comes after setbacks in their attempts to sign Cristian Medina and Agustin Palavecino. Despite offering $7.5 million to Boca Juniors for Medina, their bid was turned down. Additionally, they also sought a loan deal for Palavecino from River Plate, but negotiations fell through when Miami declined to include a buyout option since they only needed a short-term replacement for the injured Facundo Farias. Now, it seemingly looks like the deal to sign Federico is just a matter of time, on one condition.

Surprisingly, Federico adopts the holding midfield position just like his father did. He would surely learn a thing or two from Sergio Busquets, should the deal happen. Yet the Herons can suffer a major setback in their quest for the youngster.
