A few years back, Patrick and Sunny attended a star-studded ceremony with also included the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Sunny was hyped up for the ceremony and Patrick helped her get clicked with Messi.

Patrick Stewart’s wife wanted Lionel Messi to be her celebrity pass

In an old interview, Patrick Stewart discussed her wife being a Messi fan. During the interview, he explained Messi’s role in her following soccer.

“This hand was actually in the hand of Lionel Messi on Monday night,” Patrick said. “Not because I particularly wanted to meet him. But my wife did. Lionel Messi converted her to soccer, and she had no interest in it all until she saw how this man played ball. And I knew he was gonna be at this event.”

He continued: “I’d accepted an invitation to present an award because I’m also president of the Academy of a premiership football team in England team, I’ve supported since I was seven… I told my wife if he’s there I will do everything in my power to bring the two of you to face to face and she said what if he becomes my celebrity pass? I said ‘that’s fine.'”
