During the half-an-hour talk, the host brought up the topic of him joining Inter Miami and reuniting with Lionel Messi. However, the striker did not provide a definitive answer and instead emphasized, “What I really want is to rest and continue to enjoy the other day.”
While Suarez remained cautious in his response, gave fans a little sneak peek as he revealed, “I spoke to my lawyer, and we talked about a couple of things, and we agreed to continue talking next week.” He also mentioned how he conversed with Lionel Messi, adding, ” Hopefully, there will be a possibility, but at the moment, I didn’t even speak to Leo a week ago, and he spoke to me last week when the championship ended.”
The interaction between the two former Barcelona players during this intense period of rumors is highly captivating. It not only heightens the anticipation but also raises the likelihood that this transfer might indeed materialize. However, if the move does happen, Luis Suarez might not join as a designated player.
No place for Suarez as a designated player at Inter Miami?
As per the statement of reporter José Armando, he has confirmed that Luis Suarez cannot join Inter Miami as a designated player. This restriction arises because the team already boasts a maximum limit of three designated players- Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets, and Gregore.

Additionally, MLS has denied granting a fourth slot to the team. Nevertheless, this setback does not mark the end of their pursuit to sign Suarez. The Miami-based team still holds the option to bring him on board as a regular player.
