Twenty-year-old Argentine starlet Matias Soule has to be on cloud nine after Lionel Scaloni introduced him to the national set-up. With the defending World Cup champions currently going through a transitional phase, the team management is looking to bring some fresh names to the setup.
In an interview with TNT Sports Argentina’s latest call-up, Matias Soule opened up on his interaction with Lionel Messi and Rodrigo De Paul, claiming the duo smoked his side in a game of ping-pong. Soule stated, “I remember that I played ping-pong with ‘Gato’ Ávila against Paul and Messi. We were playing, they came and told us: ‘Well, let’s play and see if they can handle it.’ “We did a 2 against 2 and they made us trash.”
He then added, “I made a mistake a couple of times and Paul told me: ‘Isn’t there ping-pong there in Italy?’ I was happy because he knew me, I wasn’t in the First Division yet. I laughed my ass off and had a great time.”

The player has attracted a lot of attention from some bigger clubs across Europe. Premier League side Crystal Palace is said to be keenly interested in the player and is ready to meet Juventus’ $45 million demand to sign the player.
