It was a good day at the office for Inter Miami. The Herons extended their winning streak in the MLS by thrashing the New York Red Bulls 6-2 as Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez once again displayed their sheer magic. In fact, to top their night off, the star duo conferred a special gesture towards renowned music producer Gonzalo Julián Conde a.k. a Bizarrap.

Argentine popstar received the match-worn jerseys from both Messi and Suarez. He clicked the picture and shared it on his Instagram stories. While mentioning the former Barcelona duo as well as tagging Miami as the location, he wrote a brief message, saying, “Gracias wachos,” which translates to “Thank you guys.” Notably, Bizarrap was in attendance at Chase Stadium to watch Tata Martino and Co.’s record win. But meeting Messi and Suarez wasn’t the main reason that brought the 25-year-old songwriter to the Magic City.

Bizarrap is apparently in town to give a live performance in tomorrow’s Miami GP race. This somehow gave him a chance to catch Inter Miami live in action and also receive special gifts from La Pulga and El Pistolero. Rest, the match against the NY Red Bulls was entertaining for the music producer. Miami conceded during the half-hour mark, but substitute Matias Rojas, who replaced the injured David Ruiz, equalized with an assist from Messi. 

The second half was the embarkment of a goal fiesta as Suarez assisted Messi to make it 2-1 in the 50th minute. Rojas also found his brace minutes later as Suarez found the net from a setup from Messi. In fact, within 13 minutes, the No. 9 completed his hat trick to take the match ball home. While Messi scored just once, wait till you hear the records he broke tonight.

Lionel Messi keeps up with his record-breaking heroics for Inter Miami

Lionel Messi delivered a remarkable five assists, setting a new MLS record. This remarkable feat marks the first time any player has achieved five assists in a single game in the league’s history. The 36-year-old’s assist tally for the ongoing campaign now stands at an impressive 9. Moreover, he has become Miami’s all-time leading assist provider, surpassing Robert Taylor’s previous record of 15 assists in 87 games with his stunning 16 assists in just 25 games.

Notably, Messi’s single strike of the game brings his total goal contributions to six, yet another MLS record. This surpasses the previous record of five, which was jointly held by seven players, including Columbus Crew’s Diego Rossi. Furthermore, with a career tally of 833 goals and 372 assists, Messi has become the first player in history to surpass 1200 goal contributions, outpacing his rival Cristiano Ronaldo, who trails behind with 1140.

It undoubtedly was a busy night for Lionel Messi and Inter Miami to acknowledge such records. He also did a fine job alongside Luis Suarez to leave an indelible mark on Bizarrap.
