“Let’s Go Lukaku” – Ex-Barcelona Star Offers Belgian Striker ‘a Month of Vacation’ After Huge Misses in FIFA World Cup

Belgium is going through a nightmare of a World Cup. They failed to qualify as Belgium lost to morocco and then draw with Croatia. Belgium is facing criticism from almost every soccer expert as they only hit a single goal throughout their campaign. Especially against Croatia, Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku managed to miss four clear chances to score. This horrendous performance from the team managed to incite riots in Brussels and trolling on the internet. The Croatian legend Ivan Rakitic also joined the force to troll Lukaku.

These are hard times for the Belgium soccer team. Nobody expected that the team will fail to qualify for the next round, fans are hurt emotionally and players are hurt physically as Romelu Lukaku hurts himself by smashing glass after the match against Croatia.

Ivan Rakitic trolls Romelu Lukaku

Croatian legend Ivan Rakitic took to Instagram and posted, “Let’s go Lukaku! We have to pay him for a month of vacation in Split. Let’s go!” Lukaku was in tears after the match concluded, which resulted in Belgium’s elimination from the tournament. He also hit the dugout, smashing the glass and hurting himself in the process. After that, this post by Rakitic can only be considered hard trolling. 

Lukaku will be hoping to take a little break and then return to Serie A for Inter Milan after the World Cup concluded.

Lukaku had only appeared in five matches so far this season due to injury. After the game, Lukaku said, “Of course I’m disappointed. We’re eliminated, we’re out of the competition. I’m a striker and I would have liked to do my job and score, and help the team..”

Speaking of upsets, Japan defeated Spain and secured the first position on the table. Argentina also managed to qualify after starting their campaign with a shocking defeat against Saudi Arabia.
