Ben Foster arrived at the club with much fanfare. He helped the team to get a promotion to the EFL League Two. And now, the goalkeeper revealed his decision to stay for one more year in the latest contract extension clause with the soccer club. Therefore, fans are happy with the decision, and the goalkeeper is going nowhere.

There was a lot of speculation regarding the ability of Foster to play for the club. The sensational 40-year-old goalkeeper looks to stay with the club and make a difference. The fans can wait until next season to see the goalkeeper stand between the sticks again. 

Ben Foster signs new deal with Wrexham

Significantly, the goalkeeper appeared on his Instagram page to announce the decision. He was seen playing golf and indicated his contract extension with the English club. He stated, “Hey Wrexham fans, Ben Foster here. I got some news. After a lot of deliberation and a lot of toiling and thinking. No genuinely, it took me five minutes. In fact, I think I decided at the end of last season. Let’s do one more year, baby. League One. Here we come.”

The goalkeeper became a hero when he saved the last-minute penalty against Notts County. He achieved cult status following that save, and the last-minute save helped Wrexham to win the game. Therefore, that game proved the difference for the club to enter EFL League Two.
