Wrexham is enjoying its best days under its new owners, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. The club has transitioned into a winning side as both have taken the club to a different level.

A club that only discrete soccer fans were aware of has taken the headlines, thanks to their impressive run in National League. The Holywood stars have helped the club a lot and transformed its fortunes.

Besides being known for their gleaming work for the Welsh club, they have to build a unified bond with the club’s fanbase. The Wrexham community seems impressed by their new owners and loves their presence at the club.

Rob McElhenney’s heartwarming message to the club’s oldest fan

Oftentimes, both owners have been seen aiding the Wrexham community. The Hollywood duo often interacts with local fans and offers whatever support they need. And just like that, the club’s co-owner, Rob McElhenney has made a day of Wrexham’s oldest fan.

Arthur Massey, who has been a childhood fan of the Red Dragons recently celebrated his 99th birthday. The latter was even featured in the famous “Welcome to Wrexham” docuseries.

Hence, Arthur’s daughter, Julie Birrell shared a picture of him on Twitter with a special Wrexham-themed cake. And it definitely caught the eye of Rob, who responded with a comment, “Happy Birthday Arthur!!! Let’s celebrate 100 in the EFL!!!!”

It was indeed a heartwarming message from the co-owner, as both Ryan and Rob have left a good example among the Wrexham community. Mr. Massey had previously met with both owners, who left a long-lasting impression on the actor. He also met with Majesty the King, during his visit to Wrexham in December, where he spoke about the excitement regarding the arrival of the Hollywood pair.

Wrexham close to glory

It has been a wonderful season for Phil Parkinson’s side so far. The Red Dragons are currently leading the National League table with 91 points. They are four points clear of their league rivals, Notts County.

The Welsh club extended their stay at the top after a narrow win against Southend United.  Moreover, they won the tie with a controversial goal that was given in the Dragons’ favor anyway.

For now, Phil’s side is preparing for their weekend clash, as they will lock horns against Bromley on Saturday. Fingers will be crossed as Reynolds’ side will be looking to keep their impressive form. As for Arthur, we hope he celebrates his 100th birthday with Wrexham in the EFL!
