“Let Me Be Your Striker”: 7 Ft NBA Champion, Who Picked Cristiano Ronaldo Over Lionel Messi, Asked Kylian Mbappe and Neymar to Sign Him at PSG in 2020

NBA star Giannis Sina Ugo Antetokounmpo recently turned a lot of heads when he showed his surprising soccer skills. The Milwaukee Bucks player posted a video of him dribbling the ball. His soccer skills have shocked the fans, but more than that, what he wrote got fans spiraling into possibilities.

Also, the Nigerian also had to choose between the GOATs of soccer, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi once, and as any fan would, he struggled to make his decision but eventually reached a conclusion. 

Giannis made his debut in professional basketball for Filathlitikos in 2011, and in 2013 he started playing for Milwaukee Bucks and has been with them ever since. He became champion in 2021 and won Mvp in the finals against the Phoenix Suns. The bucks won by 105-98 in what appeared to be a very close match. However, basketball is not the only sport he can excel, as per the video he shared.

Giannis shared the video in which he was juggling the ball and shocked commentators. He then made incredibly precise shots after two tries. He posted the video captioning, “I need a spot on the team @neymarjr @Kmbappe @PSG_inside. Let me be your striker.”

Although that was obviously a joke, the shot was incredibly precise and got fans talking.

He posted the video back in March 2020. Giannis, also in Feb 2020, made headlines when he had to choose between Ronaldo and Messi.

Choosing between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo

During a press event, he was asked to choose the t-shirt. He had the option between Real Madrid and Barcelona. It was when Cristiano Ronaldo was associated with Real and Lionel Messi was playing for Barcelona. He stated that “I love both of these players but I’ll probably go with Real.“

The debate between Messi and Ronaldo is very old and almost every fan has faced this decision once in a while. While both players are great and two of the finest soccer player in the world, fans are generally divided when it comes to the GOATs.

Currently, Giannis has taken his team to the 2nd spot in the Eastern Conference. Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are busy with the World Cup in Qatar. Argentina has beaten Australia in the round of 16 and will face the Netherlands in the quarter-finals. Portugal will be facing Switzerland in the round of 16. Both teams are looking for glory as this World Cup is the last for Messi and Ronaldo. However, only one can kiss the golden trophy, and we will know that eventually.
