Lionel Messi has been making waves ever since his move to Inter Miami. The Argentine superstar has been in stunning form netting nine goals in just six appearances. With La Pulga‘s impactful performance in the United States, it does not come off as a big surprise with some big names across Europe looking to join Messi at MLS.
Former Barcelona star and World Cup winner Antoine Griezmann had a great relationship with Lionel Messi, during the time the duo shared at the Catalan club. While Griezmann has become an important part of Atletico Madrid once again, the Frenchman opened up on his aspirations of sharing the same stage as Lionel Messi.

While Antoine Griezmann had a short stint with Barcelona, the French star had some good memories of the club. After making his return to the Rojiblancos, Griezmann has once again found himself in manager Diego Simeone’s plans as one of the key players for the side.
In a recent conversation with ESPN, Griezmann was asked about his thoughts on Lionel Messi’s escapades at MLS. The Atletico star in response lauded the MLS’ efforts to get someone as good as La Pulga. The French star even added that he plans to play in the United States later in his career.

“Leo is the best in history. He’s filling stadiums, he’s scoring a lot of goals and he’s winning games. He’s incredible and I think it’s the best thing MLS have done to bring in Leo, in terms of marketing and in terms of football… My target is to end up there.”
Lionel Messi has been on fire ever since making his way to Inter Miami. The Argentine talisman has helped the team reach the finals of the Leagues Cup following his debut. With an unbeaten run since Messi’s arrival, the David Beckham-owned franchise will be looking to lift its first piece of silverware.

The team will be up against Nashville in the finals of the Leagues Cup and will be hoping to walk home with the title. The team is also in the semi-finals of the US Open Cup and could have a chance to clinch a historic double if they get past Nashville in the Leagues Cup final.
