Imagine Erling Haaland playing up top for the Three Lions! Now that would be a dream come true for England fans. The Norwegian superstar has taken the world by storm with his performances, emerging as one of the best strikers in the world. Erling alongside Harry Kane would be a nightmare for any defense in the world, who’d lose half their hair trying ways to stop the duo. Alas, this is not happening as Haaland snubbed the Three Lions in his early childhood.
Erling Haaland was present with Sky Sports for an exclusive sit-down interview, where the striker answered multiple questions about his career. During the interview, when the striker was asked about his chances of playing for the English national team, Haaland had this to say. “Yeah, I think I could [have], technically. But the rules at the moment were different from what they are now. Uh, and I would have some kind of things, move to England before I was 18 again or something. So it would be difficult, but I don’t know,” Haaland stated.
The Norwegian was then asked if he would be a favorite amongst the English fans to which the player had a quirky reply. “I don’t know. Probably some, maybe not all of them, but I think some, yeah!” Erling Haaland concluded.

Haaland’s exploits for Salzburg caught the attention of Bundesliga giant Borussia Dortmund who roped in the striker in 2020.
