The classic shades of FC Barcelona need no introduction. After all, this color combo is the reason why the club has been named the ‘Blau-Grana’. Did you know that for over 100 years the colors blue and garnet have come together on the shirts of FC Barcelona players? Well now, to everyone’s surprise, their official home jersey for the 2024/25 season has been leaked. This version looks quite different from the current home kit yet still manages to remain true to the Blaugrana roots.
‘Fcbarcelonacollection’ leaked the render for Barcelona’s home jersey for the next season. Four different color schemes are used- deep royal blue, midnight navy, noble red, and club gold. The Gold is used in the Spotify Logo and for the Nike one. This is in contrast to the current home kit, which uses a plain white color for the Spotify logo. Another noticeable change is the positioning of the Barcelona Logo. This time, it seems they have kept in on the center, unlike the 2023/24 one where it is on the left.
Also, the current home kit features red & blue strips in tandem. The upcoming kit seems to have taken a more minimalistic approach by segmenting the shirt into red & blue halves. It is likewise for the arms as well, with the red half getting the blue sleeve and vice versa.

The blue and garnet colors have always been associated with the team. Initially, for the first 10 years of the club’s history, the shorts were white. Later, it was switched to black and, since the 1920s, blue.

FC Barcelona could end 26-year-old Nike partnership for ‘record-breaking’ Puma deal
Things have been tough lately for Nike. After losing Tiger Woods, they could be without Barcelona. The major reason is money. FC Barcelona currently earns around $114 million a year from Nike, which could jump to $169 million, including variables. Although a lucrative deal, could Puma have an even better one? Puma, who also happens to be Man City’s sponsor, has offered the Catalan club $124.5 million in a fixed amount as per SPORT. This could amount to a staggering $216 million with incentives, which in turn would make it the most lucrative sponsorship deal in soccer history!
Yet, there is a stumbling block along the way. Nike’s current deal runs through 2028. If FC Barcelona walks out of the deal soon, then Nike could be hit with losses of around $378 million. Hence, the current sponsors have no intentions of walking out with compensation. Puma, on the other hand, will not be agreeing with any contract, unless Nike is out of the picture. In fact, they are even willing to offer a bonus to Barcelona to do so. The Spanish giants have a big decision on their hands.
