After scoring a hat-trick against Liverpool in the Women’s Super League, James dedicated it to Hayes. Further, the forwards also promised that everything she did would be for the outgoing boss.

The Chelsea defender scored a brilliant hattrick to crush Liverpool 5-1 and remain at the top of the table. All three goals from the star were nothing less than wonderful, which makes the hat trick even more special. The first goal was pretty much her own, but the next came from Wales captain Sam Kerr with impressive midfield play. The third goal, however, was the simpler one, with Johanna Rytting Kaneryd’s pass from inside the box hitting the net for the third time.

After a scintillating record at Chelsea FC Women, Emma Hayes will bid adieu to her decade-old stint at the club. Starting in 2012, Hayes will take over as the US Women’s National Soccer Team’s coach. After penning a record deal of $1.6 million, Hayes will start her journey in June 2024.
