The 2022-23 season has been incredible for Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. Wrexham AFC made it to the Football League after 15 years of absence. On top of that, the women’s team won the league title and playoff and will play in the Wales top division. To celebrate the enormous feats of both teams, the owners arranged a bus parade through Wrexham town.

Players enjoyed the bus parade to mark their achievements in a town full of cameras. They didn’t seem to be fazed by the cameras, and manager Phil Parkinson feels the players are now used to a spotlight.

Welcome to Wrexham has made players used to cameras

The celebrations for the Wrexham players were immense. The town was well prepared for an open-top bus parade in the presence of the Hollywood owners Reynolds and McElhenney. Cameras filled Wrexham to capture all the angles of the celebrations. The Red Dragons manager Phil Parkinson spoke to Sky Sports ahead of the celebrations.

When asked about the city full of cameras, Parkinson said“The lads are used to it, obviously. We have documentary around us most of the time. So we are used to it. It’s very important to enjoy being in the spotlight because there are so many teams at the end of the season lifting trophies.”

Welcome To Wrexham has been an integral part of the third-oldest club since its release last year. The first season’s success has played an enormous role in increasing the popularity of the club globally. It highlighted important aspects of the club, including how the Hollywood duo took over the Welsh club.

Even Wrexham players and manager were also part of the docuseries, making them well-versed with the cameras. The success of the show brought a spotlight on the players despite playing in the fifth tier. However, the celebrations won’t stop here. It will continue in Vegas, where owners have promised a monstrous party for the players.
