And why not? He was making massive strides in his career under Ferguson. His skills and exploits on the field made took him to Real Madrid in a record-breaking transfer in 2009. The five-time Ballon d’Or achieved a lot on the team and individual levels since then. He is considered one of the greatest soccer players presently and is the highest-paid athlete.
It seems his bold claim has come true. Katia Aveiro, CR7’s sister, recently shared that video on her Instagram story and captioned it, “Adoroooooo.” His family always stood by him. His sisters and mother always defended him against unfair criticism. Meanwhile, his hunger in front of the goal made one of his former teammates label him egoistic.

Back in 2017, Karim Benzema gave an interview to the French outlet Canal Plus. He spoke about various aspects with Ronaldo, one of them. When asked about how he goes with Ronaldo, Benzema called CR7 more egoistic than him. According to Benzema, it’s normal that Ronaldo wants the ball played to him early.
It never bothered the Frenchman, who formed a famous BBC trio with Ronaldo and Gareth Bale at Real Madrid. Their partnership went well throughout their Real Madrid days.
